Canto Invierno del Niño, 2009-10

Willy and I contemplate our
snow choked river, 9 Dec 2009

I composed this Canto some time in 2010, recently rediscovered it and prepared it for the web as a way to take a break from myBirds, myBugs and hopefully myFlora. It is again winter, but not an el Niño which here means more moisture. Personally, now as I approach my own oblivion I do not mind the lack of deep snow though this year we have had more than the last two winters combined which is not much at all. Life here in the southwest has evolved to cope with periodic drought, and I am quite happy to fit in. But having been born and raised in snowy Wisc. and tramping skiing through the deep snows of Calif. mountains I am some times nostalgic for said snow but not enough to go looking for the real stuff. So come join Willy and me in a little tramp through a virtual and moderate
el Niño Winter
. . . and our last Winter Walk

May the River bring you Peace,
Kayak Peter
